Swimming pool and solarium
Heated swimming pool and solarium are located on a large terrace above the breakfast room, which connects the two buildings which make up Cortile di San Michele. It is equipped with whirlpool, which is open from May to September and it is for exclusive use of the guests. On the perimeter area you can still see the large sandstone stones used for the embankment of the Castle of Guarene.
The “crutin” for the tastings
In the past, each house in the Roero area used to have a “crutin”, or a "grotto" dug by hand in the tuff, where the most prestigious bottles or the first-fruits were kept. Cortile di San Michele also has its own “crutin”, an ancient tunnel that went under the hill in the direction of the Castle. Recovered and consolidated, today this space is dedicated to tastings of the prestigious local wines and the gastronomic excellences of the territory.
The aperitifs (glass or bottle), together with cheeses and cold cuts, are available on request, upon payment, from Friday to Sunday. Please contact the reception for all the information.
An excellent breakfast
At Cortile di San Michele, breakfasts are served in a large and bright environment, designed as an ancient lemon house with large windows overlooking the internal courtyard. Each element reproduces the experience of immersion in nature: from wallpaper to decorations, from fresh flowers on each table to the choice of lights. The buffet, sweet and savoury, is prepared with fresh products, typical raw materials and carefully selected by the best local producers.
Gluten-free products for celiac and lactose-free products are available. Any intolerances or special dietary needs can be communicated to the reception.
